Since 2006, months before the doors of Jamie’s Place first opened and years before our second home, Mountain View, began serving our community, Sheila has taken the lead in establishing and building the systems, administrative structure and standards of practice that support our person centered, relationship based philosophy of care developed by the Greenhouse Project. We have been so very fortunate to have had Sheila’s passion, skills, knowledge, hard work and deep caring in the growth of our mission to provide a home with heart for our elders; we are so very proud of all she has accomplished, literally from the ground up, alongside our staff, community and member of our Board of Directors.
We cannot thank Sheila enough for all she has given to Jamie’s Place over the years. While we will deeply miss Sheila’s leadership of our homes, we look forward to seeing where her next steps will lead, knowing she will still be in our community and available in teaching and consulting capacities.
In looking ahead, we are also excited about the opportunities for development and growth for our staff and incoming Executive Director, Nurse and additional House Manager. We are so appreciative to Sheila for her vision and leadership over the past nine years and wish her continued joy and fulfillment as she explores her next adventures and discovers the new blessings this change will bring to her and her family.
With great care,
Members of the Board of Directors, Methow Valley Family Home Center Association
